It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in New Jersey. Federal agents seized a large amount of snow after sniffer dogs alerted them to it in what was supposed to be a shipment of 1,050 cartons of wine.
Sniffer dogs alerted federal agents to a shipment of what was listed as 1,050 cartons of wine at Port Newark, a major stop for imports to the United States. In what is being called a routine tactical examination of a shipping container, agents found a black duffel bag. The bag contained thirteen duct-taped bricks of cocaine.
Originating in Australia, the shipping container made a stop in Panama. The contents of the container have been turned over to Homeland Security.
