Another Asian country is looking to enter the world wine stage as Japan’s largest producer plans to expand.
Most of the wine produced in Japan is consumed locally, however the country wants to be competitive on the world stage as recent news shows. Robola or Vino di Sasso or Vines of Stone is a grape variety that comes from Kefalonia island in Greece. Its grown on the slopes of Mount Aenos and it requires thin soil, sunshine and coll temperatures to produce its fruits.
